Malagaslas Falls and Ambon Ambon Falls Sta. Maria, Laurel, Batangas

Included in the voucher I bought from Ensogo.com.ph is a guided tour to Malagaslas falls and Ambon Ambon falls.

The trek would last for 2 hours depending on your stay on each falls. I would advise that you bring food and drinks here because there are tables available for rent near Malagaslas Falls.

It is past 1 PM, the weather is not that hot because of the cold wind and trees shed the trail. The trail to these wonderful falls are easy and beginners would enjoy walking in rivers and beautiful rock formations.

Malagaslas falls is perfect for swimming. It is a ladder of small falls that gives you an instant back massage. You can swim under the falls and enjoy the not-so-cold water.

After swimming in Malagaslas falls, we headed to Ambon Ambon falls which is just another 15-20 mins trek.

Ambon Ambon falls is a lot higher and colder than Malagaslas falls but the falls is scenic. We decided to take some pictures and head back to Malagaslas because the water is sooooooooooo cold. We're chillin when we tried to dip into and attempted to go to the falls end.

Amansinaya Mountain Resort Sta Maria, Laurel, Batangas

I got a voucher from Ensogo for a day tour in Amansinaya Mountain Resort last year but because of the busy schedule and the peak season coming, I and mi amore decided to book the tour early 2014.

So, we don’t have any itinerary and we just search the net on how to go to the resort the night before our tour. Gladly, we arrived safe and sound. Here’s our actual travel expenses and estimated time spent:

6:00 AM ETD from Alabang to Tanauan Bus Stop (ride a bus going to Lipa-Tanauan) P66/pax
6:50 AM ETA to Tanauan Bus Stop, ride tricycle or walk going to Mcdonalds where you will ride a jeepney going to Laurel, Batangas (you need a lot of patience here because you will wait for like an hour before for the jeepney to have enough passengers)
7:00 AM had breakfast in Mcdonalds ( you need to eat so you will have enough patience as stated above hehe :p)
7:30 AM – 8:30 AM waiting time
8:30 AM to 9:30 AM from Mcdonalds to Laurel City Hall P45/pax
9:30 AM- 9:45AM from Laurel City Hall ride a habal-habal (motorcycle) going to Amansinaya in Sta. Maria P100 for 2 pax
10:00 AM – 4:30PM activities
4:30PM-5:00PM departure from resort. You need to ride (again) a habal habal from resort to Tagaytay where buses going to Manila pass by. P150/pax
5:00 PM-7:30PM Tagaytay to Pasay via bus P99/pax

Amansinaya is also known as Las Haciendas I think. The place is huge but still underdeveloped. The food is overpriced I think, but justified because of the vicinity of the place. The place is perfect for family outing, barkada outing and team building. We have to pay another P100 for the locker where we left our personal belongings.

They have a lot an activity area in Pugad Lawin Camp and their main attractions are- zip line, wall climbing and their slide for life.

They also have an infinity pool near Patio Filipino and another pool in their Aqua Park but sadly, we can’t swim because of the cold and windy weather (we’re chilling to death).

Luckily, they have a shuttle service from one activity area to another because each activity area is quite far from another.

They also offer a free guided tour to Ambon Ambon and Malagaslas Falls which you can read in my another blog entry.

Overall, the place is nice and if you want peace and stress free weekend, you have to spend some time visiting this place.

The Beauty of Taal Crater Lake, Batangas

After tripping in Tagaytay, my friend and I decided to go to the Taal Crater just to fulfill our hunger for adventure. Our trip won't be complete without going into the volcano but I must say this is costly compared to other trips that I planned. We contracted a guide in Picnic Groove to bring us in Taal Crater. All expenses was about P2,000/person.

You need to ride a bangka to go to the crane, and ride a horse (which is my first time)  to the view deck of the crane. It was fun and adventure lover would love to visit such a beauty.

BEAUTIFUL!

Going back..

ADVENTUREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Tagaytay City, Cavite

Tagaytay City is just a few hours away from Manila, thus making it one of the fave get away of ManileƱos who are tired of the city life. I had the chance to visit this place again and still love its beauty and cold weather.

Transportation is easy and the place is very accesible. You can ride a bus from Pasay going to Nasugbu and ask the driver to drop you off in "rotonda" where you can ride tricycles or jeepneys to go to the Picnic Groove or Palace in the sky. Or is you live near Alabang, you could ride a van to Tagaytay in the bus terminal near HM transit.Fare: P75

It was August when I visit Tagaytay. It's not that cold as I've expected but still you can breathe into the fresh air and be amazed by its beauty.

First destination: Picnic groove.

We reached the place at 9am, just an hour ride from Alabang. Upon reaching the place, the locals are very familiar with tourist and they are already offering rides and packages going to the Taal Volcano. We rode a tricycle and ask the driver to drop us in Picnic Groove. Fare: P15 Entrance P50

Gloomy day..

old playground

Second Destination:
Palace in the Sky

From Picnic Groove, you can ride a jeep going to the Palace in the Sky, which should have been a guest house built for the US president during the Marcos era.
Nothing special in this place except for the scenic view of the city which you can capture here.
Entrance P30

the only way to go here..

Third Destination: Mahogany Market

You can buy your pasalubongs here like fruits, beef and plants.
Also, you can try their famous Bulalo..

Bolinao, Pangasinan

It’s an 8 hour drive from Manila. But the place is super scenic.

Let's go!

Go yellow team!

Infinity pool :)

by the river..

up!up! and away!

kayak..

What I love in Bolinao is that there is break water so you could enjoy the beach without the fear of getting drowned.

I had the chance to visit Punta Riviera because of our company’s team building.

This place is perfect for company outings, barkada trips and honeymooners because you could enjoy the beach plus the infinity pool and other amenities.

Kayaks are available but you could only use it in the river near the beach.

The sand is not as pure as the sands of Boracay and Palawan but I think it’s awesome and there’s a space for beach activities like beach volleyball and sun bathing.

Our way to Lingayen, Pangasinan

Pangasinan is just 2 hours away from my hometown Tarlac but I seldom go there because I was working in Manila. But for my parents 25th anniversary, we opted to visit Lingayen, Pangasinan and stayed overnight.

The place is okay but not that outstanding. As you can see in the pictures, no white sands nor amazing rock formation to be found in the beach. But if you are looking for a place to relax, this place will be very good for you because it’s not that crowded.

Going there is easy and hassle free because provincial buses are scheduled to go there every day.
We stayed in El Puerto Marina Resort, not that good but I enjoyed the time with my family because we seldom go out of town and have this kind of quality time.

Over all, we had a great family bonding and celebrated my parents anniversary happily J

Perfect ang place for Pre-Nup photoshoot ( andaming nagpepre-nup doon). All in all, ok naman ang place, may bilihan ng pagkain doon pero kung gusto mong magbaon ok lang rin naman may mga picnic huts na wala namang bayad. May activity area din doon.

May butterfly garden din at meron din mini zip line (P100), wall climbing at paint ball.

Isang paraiso sa gitna ng syudad! :)
